Most viewed - Macular Telangiectasis with Bleaching of Gray Ring

52 year old woman. She was in for an eye examination and you noticed a problem. Sometimes when she is at work, and wearing her bifocals, she will close her left eye to see better. That started maybe 6 months ago. She was checked a year ago and everything was OK then. She has been diagnosed with borderline diabetes in 2014. She is now on metformin. •VA OD: cc20/25 NccJ2 •VA OS: cc20/40 PHNI NccJ5+2 The images show typical findings for MacTel. There is a blue reflectance image taken before and after light exposure that shows blanching or loss of the gray ring. This could be from bleaching of intraretinal chromophores as described in OSLI Retina.
