72-year-old woman had retinal detachment repair in the left eye for a macula-on retinal detachment on February 29th. She has poor vision in her right eye. VISUAL ACUITY: Vision OS 20/400. IOP: OS 9. The posterior chamber intraocular lens is in good position. EXTENDED OPHTHALMOSCOPY: OS: Vertical C/D ratio is 0.2. There is a 3+ epiretinal membrane OCT SCAN: There is a central foveal thickness of 564 microns. IMPRESSION: 1. MACULAR PUCKER – LEFT EYE DISCUSSION: I explained to the patient with vitrectomy and membrane peel, there is a reasonable chance of removing the macular pucker and substantially improving her vision. I have scheduled her for surgery next week. I will keep you abreast of her progress. Final post-op vision 20/25!
