giant cell arteritis - anterior ischemic optic neuropathy 78 year old female with biopsy proven giant cell arteritis. 5 days ago she woke up at 2:00 AM and went to Chicago for a death in her family. She started seeing colors in the left eye. And she noticed what looked like a tossed bucket of paint in the left eye. She is being treated for giant cell arteritis about 2 months ago. She was feeling bad last week when she was down to a low dose of steroids. Then her steroids were increased to 20 mg. VA OD: sc20/20-2 NccJ1 VA OS: sc20/25 NccJ3
